Jim "Sharon" Bearden, Sr.

Sharon Bearden was born in Panola County and raised in Orange, Texas.  Sharon graduated from Lutcher Stark High School in 1957.  Sharon's brother was the beloved Coach J.B. Bearden of West Orange Stark High School. 
Sharon began his legal career in 1965 and has amassed over 43 years of experience.  During that time, he was elected as Justice of The Peace, County Attorney, and District Attorney. Sharon has compiled an unparelled record at trial.  Over the 43 years, Sharon has tried more than 700 cases, winning an overwhelming majority of these cases.  He primarily handles criminal cases, divorce cases, and child custody cases.
Sharon is a member of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Orange County Bar Association and the Jefferson County Bar Association.  He was the recipient of the Paul Harris award for outstanding Rotary member and the 1983 Orange County Legal Secretaries Association's Boss of the Year.

"Jim Sharon" Bearden, Jr.


Jim Sharon was born and raised in Orange, Texas.  Jim Sharon joined the firm in January of 2007.  He specializes in 18 wheeler accidents, automobile wrecks, consumer law, breach of contract, and criminal law.

Jim Sharon is a Texas A&M graduate from the class of 1996, earing Magna Cum Laude honors in Economics. He graduated from Texas Tech School of Law in 1999, graduating at the top of his class.  In law school, Jim Sharon was elected as Class President all three years and was ultimately elected as Student Body President.  He was also elected to serve as the Graduation Commencement Speaker.  Shortly after law school, Jim Sharon was appointed to the Board of Directors for the Texas Tech School of Law Alumni, becoming the youngest member of the board.

Jim Sharon began his law career in downtown Houston, Texas at the law firm of Spain & Hastings.  He moved back to Orange in 2003 and joined the firm of Orgain Bell & Tucker. 

Jim Sharon is a member of the Orange County Bar Association (currently serving as its President), the Jefferson County Bar Association, and numerous legal associations throughout Texas and the United States.

Jim Sharon is the proud father of his twins, Hutch and Hallie, and his oldest son Jim Sharon Bearden, III.
